My first day of school was
in September of 1999. It was on North Kenilworth. It was Mann school.
I remember the day before kindergarten feeling very curious, but scared.
I still didn't know how to tie my shoes and my mom was really trying to teach me. She had gotten me kits, special shoes, and I still couldn't do it. The first day of kindergarden went great. It was only for an hour the first day and I met my teacher Ms. Dia. She was very nice and she let us play with the toys at the end of her talk. When I came home that day I remember going around to random people on the block telling them that I was in Kindergaten. They din't really seem to care , but they congratulated me.
I hadn't met any friends at that point, but I still already knew some people from my block. One person that did become a great friend eventually was Rishi Choubey. I didn't really become friends with him until 3rd grade, but I always knew him as a nice person until them.
I always enjoyed the fun activities that we did Kindergarden. We colored, we played inside with the toys, we went out for recess on the playgrond. Those memories will always stay with me every day, even though I do not wish to go back in time, I secretly miss those days.
