As a little kid, probably
the biggest day of my life was the day i started elementary school. For
weeks before the actual day, i was so excited that i could hardly sit
still. It wasn't until the night before that i became nervous. I was
the oldest of my siblings and was the first to go to school, so i had
no idea what to expect. My mom kept telling me that it was all going
to be O.K. but i still had my doubts.
When I walked up to the doors of the school, a kind looking woman with a warm smile kneeled down to my height and said, "Goodmorning, my name is Mrs. Woods. Welcome to Beye School. I'll be seeing you very soon."
That gave me just the introduction I needed to make me comfortable. I even made a few friends that day that have stayed with me ever since. After that, I knew that I wanted to come back and that this was going to be a good year.
