"Can I sign? Can I sign?" Thats what I got like everyday for the like two in a half weeks. It was because I had a cast on my left arm. It was the most hard two in a half weeks of my life. Because I am a lefty, it was so hard to write in school. I could barely get dressed in the morning before school. I was also involved in soccer and softball, so I was out of sports for a long time. Well, what happened? I also got that a lot to.

It all started when we were outside at recess. I was playing on the playground at Longfellow Elementary School. I was playing on the blacktop waiting for the other kids to get off of the rings. For some reason, the rings were really popular. The rings and the swings. My best friend and I , Becky, we always race to the rings. If we cant get to the rings, we either wait on the blacktop on the bench, or the swings.

We were waiting so for so long for the rings and recess was finally over. But we got to go on after they left to go on the swings. "I got dibs first!" Becky yelled. She always goes first, but I just let her go first today. I'll go first tomorrow. So I pushed her a couple times, and she did some flips. All the sudden our teacher blew her whistle. It was time for us to go in and I didn't have my turn yet! So I quickly jumped on and asked her to give me one big push. She gave me a big push alright. So big that I flew off and landed straight on my arm. I was in so much pain!! Unbearable pain! My arm felt like it was broken! But the class was going in so I we had to run back into the building. I didn't think there was anything I could do so I just sat there in pain for the rest of the day.

When I arrived home that day, I ran and got an ice pack from the freezer. By now a small bruise had formed on my lower arm near my wrist. I was having so much pain in my arm, so I called my mom from work. I told her what happened and she told me to keep icing it. She came home as soon as she could because when I called her, I could barley move my arm. Well I could but it was in pain.

When my mom came home, she took a look at it and took me to the ER. We must have waited for 2 hours until we were actually seen by the nurse. Then we had to wait at least 30 more minutes until we the doctor took some x-rays of my arm. We waited until we were able to see the x-ray results. It turned out to be from that little fall that I had, my left wrist was broken. So I had to get a cast and I had to wear it for about 2 in a half weeks. I knew, considering I was left handed, these would be the hardest 2 in a half weeks in my life.

The next day at school was so hard. Of course out of all the days of school, we work on a writing assignment. My teacher was actually nice enough to let me type on the computer. This was hard, but it was so much better than writing with my right hand. "Can I sign? Can I sign?" Everybody wanted to sign my cast. But because my mom, dad, my sister and my brother signed, I just said let them all sign it.

By the end of the day, my whole cast was signed. When I was walking home, my friend asked my what I did to brake my wrist. I told them what happened and Becky, my friend that was pushing me, thought it was her fault. But then I thought about it. If I had listened and went in when the whistle blew, none of this would have happened. When my teacher blows her whistle, I come right away; well, except for when I'm on the swings. But that's a different story.
