What were some of your hobbies as a child?
I liked to swim and bike. I even used to bike to the pool, swim and eat and then bike back home. I also liked ballet and would walk or bike about a mile and a half to get there.
When did you get a TV?
When I was about eigth or nine years old we got an old black and white TV. I was allowed to watch one show for thirty minutes on the week days and on the week end I could watch 1 hour of TV a day.
What was your allowence when you were a child?
I got fifteen cents a week to buy milk at school and whatever money was left over I got to spend. I got fifty cents when I was older and my father got out of the military.
Did you ever have soda when you were a child?
Once a year my father would buy us each one can of pop and he would get us Dunken Donuts. It was a special occasion for us.
Did your family have a lot of money when you were a child?
No, we did not have a lot of money but when my father got out of the military we started getting more.
Did you have a job when you were a child?
Yes, I worked at an amusment park called King's Island. I ran a place that was basically a giant slide that kids could slide down. Kids would always slide down and hit each other on the way down and I would have to help them.
Did you ever have any pets when you were a kid?
We had many dogs. We got them from labs were they would do tests on them. Our first dog had terible arthiritis and eventually had to be put down. Our second dog got hit by a car and died.
What were the holidays like when you were a child?
It was very crowded in our house when we were children. There were about 24 kids that were over at my house. Some of them were cousins and some were my brothers and sisters. Although, I had a lot of fun with them it was very crowded.
